Important: Firmware updates erase all data on
the device. Back up all routes, waypoints, and app data before updating.

Press the reset button with the SIM ejection pin (small hole between the power on button and volume up button) to force the device to shut down, then power it on normally. Recovery Mode is exited automatically on reboot.

This is typically caused by a third-party USB-C cable with
metal contacts that are too short for the ATP port depth, causing intermittent
contact. Use the original magnetic cable or a USB-C cable confirmed compatible
with the ATP device.

Power off the device immediately. Place it in a well-ventilated, dry area and allow it to air-dry naturally. Do not charge or
power on the device until it has fully dried. Do not use heat (hair dryer, direct sun) to accelerate drying.

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Advanced Settings, and disable the "Network portal detection" option.

Try using the magnetic Pogo-Pin charging port as an alternative. If the magnetic port charges the device but USB-C does not, the USB-C charging IC may need service. Contact ATP support at Sales@ATPrugged.com

The Google apps that come preinstalled on your ATP tablet update through the Google Play Store, just like they would on any Android device.

To update them:

  1. Connect the tablet to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the Google Play Store app.
  3. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap Manage apps & device.
  5. Tap Update all if updates are available.

You can also tap See details to update individual apps one at a time.

Yes. The tablet needs to be signed into a Google account in order to update apps through the Google Play Store.

If the Play Store asks you to sign in, use your Google account. Once signed in, the tablet can check for available app updates.

We recommend keeping all Google apps updated, especially:

  • Google Maps
  • Google Chrome
  • Google Play Services
  • Android System WebView
  • Google app
  • Gmail
  • YouTube

Keeping these apps updated helps improve app performance, compatibility, and reliability.

To update one app:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for the app, such as Google Maps.
  3. Tap the app in the search results.
  4. Tap Update if an update is available.

If the button says Open instead of Update, that app is already up to date.

If apps will not update, try the following steps:

  1. Restart the tablet.
  2. Make sure the tablet is connected to strong Wi-Fi.
  3. Confirm the tablet has enough available storage space.
  4. Make sure the tablet date and time are set automatically.

To check date and time:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap System.
  3. Tap Date & time.
  4. Turn on Set time automatically.

After completing those steps, open the Google Play Store again and try updating the apps.

If the Play Store says Open, that usually means the app is already updated to the latest available version for the tablet.

No further action is needed unless the app is still having an issue. If the app is acting unusual, restart the tablet and reopen the app.
