BMW Navigation Prep was designed to let you keep both hands on the bars. The ATP WunderLINQ Navigator Kit was designed to make that promise worth keeping.
WunderLINQ is plug-and-play hardware that snaps into your BMW Navigation Prep connector and bridges your bike’s CAN bus to the ATP navigation system via Bluetooth — turning your existing handlebar controls into a fully functional interface for navigation, music, phone, and more. You get open-platform Android navigation with the control integration of a factory system.
What WunderLINQ Actually Does
WunderLINQ is hardware, not just an app. It physically connects to the Navigation Prep port built into your BMW’s cockpit and enables your handlebar controls to communicate with the ATP system. From the bars, you can:
- Scroll through and select navigation routes
- Control music playback
- Access device functions
- Answer or decline calls
No touching the screen. No lifting your hands. No interrupting your focus on the road.
The WunderLINQ app (free, on Google Play) handles the device-side configuration. The hardware does the heavy lifting.
The Navigation System
The ATP Rugged Tablet is a standalone off-road navigation system running Android 13 — not a consumer device or a locked GPS unit. It runs whatever navigation apps you already trust.
- 7″ FHD display (1920×1080) at 2,600 nits — clear and usable in full alpine sun, on mountain passes, in desert heat
- Multi-GNSS positioning (GPS + GLONASS + Beidou + SBAS) — 2.5m accuracy, no phone or cell signal required
- Android 13 + Google Play — onX Offroad, Gaia GPS, Backcountry Navigator, or any other app in the Play Store
- 8GB RAM / 128GB storage — expandable to 256GB via MicroSD
- 7,000mAh battery — a full day of active navigation on a single charge
- MIL-STD-810G certified — drop-tested, waterproof (IP68), dustproof (IP6X), vibration-rated for powersports
- 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 — connected when you have signal, independent when you don’t
- Rear 13MP camera — trail documentation; front 5MP for video calls at camp
BMW Model Compatibility
The ATP WunderLINQ Navigator Kit works with BMW motorcycles equipped with Navigation Prep.
Compatible models: See Compatibility Sheet in Approved section
- BMW GS series — [year ranges pending Brian confirmation]
- BMW RT series — [year ranges pending Brian confirmation]
- BMW XR series — [year ranges pending Brian confirmation]
Requires BMW Navigation Prep. Navigation Prep is an optional factory feature on many BMW ADV and touring models — it provides the dedicated Navigation Prep port in the cockpit that WunderLINQ connects to. Not all BMW bikes include Navigation Prep, and it may be included in specific option packages depending on year and trim.

How ATP Compares to Garmin Zumo XT2
BMW ADV riders typically compare the ATP WunderLINQ kit against the Garmin Zumo XT2 — the most widely known BMW-compatible GPS unit. Here’s how they differ:
Display: ATP is a 7″ screen at 2,600 nits. Garmin Zumo XT2 is a 5″ screen at approximately 1,000 nits.
Map software: Garmin locks you into Garmin’s map subscription. ATP runs Android — use onX, Gaia, REVER, OsmAnd, or any app on Google Play. Your existing subscriptions, routes, and waypoints come with you.
Handlebar control: Both offer handlebar integration with BMW Navigation Prep via WunderLINQ. ATP uses your existing controls plus the full WunderLINQ feature set.
Open platform vs closed: When Garmin pushes an update you didn’t ask for, or discontinues a product, you’re stuck. ATP runs Android — the ecosystem is yours.
